my mission
My vision is to help go-getters like you bring more calm, joy, and purpose into your life so you can show up each day as the person you most want to be.
As your coach and mindfulness meditation instructor, I know firsthand how daily mindfulness practices, like yoga, walking in nature, meditating, and setting intentions can support you as you navigate life’s ups and downs.
The heart of my coaching is drawing on ancient teachings and science-backed tools to co-create tailored-to-your-life strategies that help you:
- get untangled from overwhelm and a nagging inner critic
- lean into your signature strengths and heartfelt values
- ground yourself on a path that nurtures your joy and sense of purpose
As you wake up to a happier, more meaningful life, you inspire others to blossom, too - and together we create a world where everyone can flourish.
If this sounds like something you need, if it’s a maybe, or a YES, PLEASE, then book a discovery call.
my story
Hi. I’m Amy, your mindful living coach.
CONGRATULATIONS on pausing to be here now. It's not easy in a culture of “never enough” that celebrates chasing deadlines and staying busy.
I know the
feeling.
If you’re like me, you’ll consider yourself one of the lucky ones. Not everyone gets a chance to stop and recognize this life-changing opportunity to lean in, take a deep look at yourself, and figure out what matters most to you. And then, skillfully, find ways to orient your life around it. This is the heart of mindful living.
* * *
My journey’s been a bit like a game of hide-n-seek. If I had to put a pin in it, the turning point was accepting a 30-day yoga challenge back in 2010. I loved how downward dogs and twists set the tone for my day, helping me balance family life with running a demanding fashion business.
First yoga, then, little by little, adding meditation to my daily routine, sneaking it in on the ferry ride to my San Francisco studio, and over time, making it a twice daily honored tradition.
Expanding my tool chest and anchoring my life around nourishing habits like these has become a superpower that grounds me in peace, joy, and purpose. It’s a path that continues to unfold, inspiring me to use everything that life throws my way as an opportunity to become who I most want to be in this world.
In my late 40’s, I put my practice to the test. I remember driving across the Golden Gate bridge on my way to see a pulmonologist. On top of lung issues, I was coming to terms with the fact that my mom was dying, my teen was coming out as transgender, and I was losing my passion for my career in fashion.
I remember crying in the car with a stream of questions swirling through my head.
The ultimate question that unlocked the answer to all the others:
How do I want to show up for all of this?
Thanks to mindfulness, instead of falling apart, I used all the tools I had to cultivate love and understanding instead of fear. I set an intention to do my best to stay grounded in gratitude so I could nurture my joy through the overwhelm. It wasn’t easy, but I aimed at creating sacred moments every step of the way.
Mindful living is our antidote to suffering. It helped me connect deeply with my mom and make peace with her passing. It’s given me grace to hold space for my daughter, creating a bond that grows deeper everyday. And with my business, I had the clarity to close that chapter and follow my heart, training to become a mindfulness meditation teacher and coach.
Drawing insights from over a decade of learning and practicing ancient, science-backed teachings and positive psychology tools, the heart of my coaching is co-creating highly effective, practical strategies to help you bring your best into the world in a way that’s nourishing and sustainable for you.
THE BEST PART? When you’re on your way, everyone around you blossoms, too. And together, we make the world a place where everyone can flourish.
It's truly an honor to be on this journey with you.Amy Kuschel Brugger
