my mission

I specialize in supporting purpose-driven creative entreprenuers - like you - who want to get untangled from stress and overwhelm, empowering you to make a positive impact with your work. Together, we'll explore mindfulness practices that cultivate ease, joy, and authentic heart-centered connections, so you can show up fully for what matters most to you.

Drawing from my experience as a mindfulness meditation practitioner, a mom, and an entrepreneur myself, I understand some of the unique challenges and aspirations you face. I've witnessed firsthand how integrating mindfulness practices into daily life nurtures a sustainable path to personal, professional, and creative growth and well-being.

The heart of our work together is co-creating tailored strategies that blend ancient wisdom with modern science-backed tools. Together we'll explore how to:

  • navigate your inner landscape with care and curiosity, uncovering hidden insights and untapped potential
  • clarify your heart's intentions and align your actions with what matters most to you, both personally and professionally
  • embrace your whole self, including your inner critic and challenging emotions, with kindness and acceptance
  • identify and transform limiting beliefs into opportunities for growth and fullfillment
  • cultivate a sustainable, meaningful life grounded in mindfulness, creativity, and purpose

What really lights me up about this work is the ripple and ricochet effect. As you deepen your connection to yourself and claim your purpose, you naturally have more to give to your creative work, your loved ones, and the world around you. In big and small ways, your transformation inspires others to blossom too. And together, we contribute to a collective wave of positive change, spreading joy and well-being far and wide.

If this resonates with you - if you're longing for greater clarity, fulfillment, and impact - then let's connect. Whether it's a definite "YES, PLEASE!" or simply a growing curiosity, I'm here to answer your questions.

my story

CONGRATULATIONS on pausing to be here now.

It’s not easy in a culture of “never enough” that celebrates chasing deadlines and staying busy.

If you’re like me, consider yourself one of the lucky ones. Not everyone gets a chance to stop and recognize this life-changing opportunity to lean in, take a deep look at yourself, and figure out what matters most to you. And then, skillfully, find ways to orient your life around it.

This is the heart of mindful living – and the optimal backdrop for creativity.

My own mindfulness journey began with a simple 30-day yoga challenge back in 2010. Those downward dogs and twists toned my body, my mind, and my spirit, helping me balance well-being, family life, and a demanding fashion business.

Yoga also awakened a sense of purpose, setting me on a path toward authentic happiness.

I was already happy on so many levels. I had all the things I set out for: a successful design business, loving family, and beautiful home – but deep down, I was tired of chasing after dreams that no longer inspired me and drained by my own perfectionism and a constant drive to do and be more.

Little by little, I added meditation into my daily routine and the changes started to accumulate. What started as short meditations on my morning ferry ride to San Francisco eventually turned into a twice-daily honored tradition.

Yoga and meditation became my anchors. These nourishing rituals connected me to my inner landscape, calming my busy mind, opening my heart, and fostering my creativity. With time, I learned how to relate to my nagging inner critic and vulnerable inner child with compassion and curiosity instead of reactivity. With kind attention, I’m now able to transform old habit energy and limiting beliefs so I can show up with a more skillful, creative, and nurturing presence.

In my late 40’s, I put it all to the test. I remember driving across the Golden Gate bridge on my way to see a pulmonologist. On top of lung issues, I was coming to terms with the fact that my mom was dying, my teen was coming out as transgender, and I was losing my passion for my career in fashion.

As streams of “what if” scenarios swirled through my head, the ultimate question I kept coming back to was:

How do I want to show up for all of this?

Thanks to mindfulness, instead of falling apart, I leaned into my practice to face these challenges with love and understanding instead of fear. Grounded in gratitude and an intention to live life fully – through the joys and the sorrows – I was able to navigate the overwhelm and make space to create sacred moments along the way.

Mindfulness helped me transform my suffering. It allowed me to connect deeply with my mom and make peace with her passing, to bond with and advocate for my daughter, and to honor my health and well-being. It gave me the clarity and courage to follow my heart, transitioning my career to become a mindfulness meditation mentor and coach.

THE BEST PART? I’ve found a sustainable path of well-being that nurtures my joy, my creativity, and a sense of purpose, even in the midst of chaos.

The heart of my coaching is sharing this path with you, co-creating a tailored-to-your-life mindfulness routine to help you tune into what matters most to you. And together, we can spread our ease, joy, and authentic happiness into the collective consciousness.

I’m truly honored to share this journey with you.

In addition to her teaching at Sensei, she maintains a private practice offering one-on-one coaching and mentoring, workshops, and her weekly meditation group, Heart Allies—a nurturing, online sangha.

Before devoting her life to mindfulness teaching, Amy spent over 20 years as an entrepreneur in the fashion industry, leading a high-touch design business. This experience gave her a grounded perspective on the challenges of balancing creativity, leadership, and personal well-being—insights that now enrich her work with clients and retreat guests.

She continues her own path of learning with the support of mentors, including Barbara Newell, and through the guidance of her primary teachers Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach, as well as the wisdom of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh.

Mindfulness, rooted in compassion, invites us to choose wonder over judgment and connection over division. And when we fall short, it’s an opportunity to begin again. That’s why we call it a practice.
