I have a degree in Fashion Design and Merchandising from Iowa State University, and also studied at the London College of Fashion. Working as a production manager, I have been involved in all areas of production for over ten years. I particularly enjoy the hands-on approach to production taken at Amy Kuschel, where I have the pleasure of working directly with the patternmaker, cutter and seamstress during the creation of a gown.
What do you love most about San Francisco?
I love the rich diversity that San Francisco has to offer: the culture, the people, the food, and so many things to do!
What do you most enjoy about working with/for brides?
It is rewarding to be involved in the creation of such beautiful garments.
What advice do you have for the Bride-to-Be?
Though it may seem oversimplified, my advice to brides is: Enjoy your wedding day! In other words, don’t let the challenges that can surround the planning of the event hinder you from enjoying the special moments that take place during the day.
What is your favorite gown in the Amy Kuschel collection?
So many to choose from...The Grecian charm of “Sloane” in silk chiffon, the tea length, 1950’s-retro “Mimosa,” and the Great Gatsby-inspired “Clover”…I really can't narrow it down to just one!
